The Best Ways to Celebrate this Summer (No Hangover Required)
The Fourth of July always seems to sneak up on us – one minute it's May, and the next we're planning beach days, BBQs, and fireworks. At Tilden, we love any excuse to gather, eat something charred and delicious, and toast to summer. But if you're like us, you're probably craving something a little more intentional than red Solo cups and regret.
Here are our favorite ways to celebrate during summer gatherings – festive, elevated, and hangover-free.
1. Make it a Picnic, Not a Party
Skip the overpacked house party and head outside. Whether it's a beach blanket, a backyard table, or your favorite park bench, a simple picnic with thoughtfully packed snacks, a few cozy blankets, and something chilled to sip feels just right.
Tip: Bring a cooler with ice-cold bottles of Tandem or Lacewing. They look beautiful on a blanket and pair well with whatever's fresh off the grill.
2. Rethink the Drink
We’re all for raising a glass – but not every celebration has to revolve around booze. Especially when the sun’s out and you want to remember the conversation. Offer a few non-alcoholic options that feel just as special. (Hint: Tilden’s ready-to-pour cocktails are a crowd favorite.)
Want to go extra? Add garnishes – fresh herbs, citrus wheels, fancy ice cubes. Suddenly your NA pour is the chicest drink at the party.
3. Curate the Vibe
Set the tone with a summer playlist that doesn’t scream “Top 40” and swap the paper plates for real ones (or at least something compostable). A little effort goes a long way in making the day feel intentional.
4. Celebrate the Good Stuff
Summer gatherings don’t need to be overdone. Set out a self-serve drink station with chilled glasses, garnishes, and a ready-to-pour option so guests can help themselves. It keeps things simple – and lets you stay part of the party.
5. Fireworks Are Optional – Feeling Good Isn’t
Maybe you're in bed by 10. Maybe you're dancing barefoot until midnight. Whatever your summer parties look like, we hope they end with you feeling good the next day – energized, not depleted.
Cheers to a new kind of celebration, where the drinks are still excellent.
